Empower Your Climbing Journey

Why is climbing so unique?
Climbing and Bouldering can be a great form of exercise which has rapidly grown in popularity. With some confidence, coaching, and encouragement, climbing:
- Can provide a practical full-body workout at all levels of fitness.
- Doesn't become repetitive and boring over time due to the problem solving elements.
- Relies equally on technique, flexibility, and strength to achieve progression.
Try it for yourself and see if you get hooked!

Where do you run your courses?
Our courses are usually run out of the Blochaus gyms in Canberra. Courses are offered at both the Mitchell and Fyshwick gyms, so find one that suits you the best!
How long do your courses run for?
Our Beginner and Intermediate courses operate as weekly 1.5 hour sessions for 4 weeks each. This schedule provides enough time to cover detailed topics, without causing burnout.
What course is right for me?
Our Beginner course is generally designed for those who wish to understand and build the basics at the start of their climbing journey.
Our Intermediate course is designed for those who have some climbing experience, but want to improve their understanding of movement and more complex techniques to maximise their potential.
If you're not sure what would suit you, contact us and we can help you out.
I can't make it to my booking, what should I do?
If you've booked in for a course and can no longer make it to one or all of the sessions, send us a message or contact us by email and we'll work out some options.
Will I have to pay for gym entry?
At Basecamp climbing we're not affiliated with any gym in Canberra, this allows us to maintain honesty and independence when coaching.
This means participants will still need to pay for gym entry (and shoe hire if you don't own any) separately to our courses.
